The Great American Rail Adventure & San Francisco

Sometimes, your family vacation ends up being something you thought you might never do. But, then you have a 5 year old little boy who is obsessed with all.things.trains. and more than anything, you want to share memory making experiences with him and your whole family. So, what does a 22-year veteran (never been on Amtrak) travel consultant do…she books the baddest Great American Rail Journey and you head west with your family to see this great country via rail…and so it begins.

U by Uniworld: The B and Paris

Even 22-year veteran travel consultants have bucket lists and today I got to cross off a big one-off mine. Visiting my favorite painter, Claude Monet’s home and gardens at Claude Monet’s Garden, Giverny, France was an enchanting, colorful, happy-tear filled, delicious smelling, dream. Days like today are why I do what I do. I LOVE helping people experience those kinds of moments for themselves. It’s what started me on this path all those years ago and still keeps me wanting to see what’s around the next bend. Merci to U by Uniworld for the best day!

Kala Turns 40 in Havana!

When we got to Revolution Square, and saw the iconic steal faces of Che Guevara and Camilo Cienfuegos (often mistaken for Fidel) high on those buildings. Whoa. Cuba. I am still processing all of this. That indescribable feeling you get when you travel. When you get out and explore. When you see new places, and meet new people. When you hear new sounds, and taste new things. It’s a drug that I can’t get enough of. Watching Maddie and Govy running and playing in Revolution Square was like when I was 18 and standing in front of the Eiffel Tower. When things that seem so unobtainable are brought to life and you are in that moment. It’s unbelievable.
